About the Journal

The Journal of Child and Youth Psychology (JCYP) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access, and free scholarly journal that publishes research addressing psychological processes across childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood. The journal aims to provide a scholarly publication platform for original and high-quality research in developmental psychology, clinical psychology, psychological counseling and guidance, educational psychology, child development, and related disciplines.

JCYP considers original research articles and review articles focusing on the psychological development, mental health, well-being, behaviour, interpersonal relationships, family and educational experiences of children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as preventive and intervention-oriented practices.

Interdisciplinary studies and research conducted in diverse cultural contexts are also within the scope of the journal.

Review and Publishing Principles

All manuscripts considered suitable for review are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process involving at least two independent reviewers. The journal follows the principles and guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and internationally recognized standards of scholarly publishing ethics.

Editorial decisions are based on scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal's aims and scope.

Open Access and Fee Policy

The Journal of Child and Youth Psychology adopts an open-access publishing model and provides readers with free access to all published content.

The journal charges no submission fees, review fees, article processing charges (APCs), page charges, or publication fees.
